Utility of Operant Conditioning to Address Poverty-Related Health Disparities
Following our 8th Annual Conference, our monthly lecture series is back with guest speaker Dr. Kenneth Silverman. Dr. Silverman is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is the Founder and Director of the Center for Learning and Health.

Dr. Silverman will present, "Utility of Operant Conditioning to Address Poverty-Related Health Disparities," during which he will describe proximal and distal operant approaches to promote health in low-income populations; how operant conditioning can be used to promote drug abstinence and medication adherence; and describe how models of the therapeutic workplace have increased employment and reduced poverty in low-income, unemployed adults.
