Third Annual "StorySlamRx - Voices in Medicine" with Susanne Schmidt

The Larner College of Medicine Wellness Committee, Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society are proud to present a Moth-style StorySlam for all members of the UVM Larner Med and UVM Medical Center communities on January 21, 2021, 7 - 9pm, 2021, via Zoom (LIVE virtual event). “Doors” (i.e. Webinar) will open at 6:45pm. We are thrilled to welcome Theresa Okokon as this year’s show host, and Susanne Schmidt as the show’s producer!

The theme for this year's StorySlamRx is "Friends in Unexpected Places."

About Theresa Okokon, this year's host:
Theresa Okokon is a Wisconsin native, yoga teacher, social worker, storyteller, and the co-host of WGBH Stories from the Stage. In addition to writing and performing her own stories, Theresa coaches other storytellers, hosts story slam events, and frequently emcees events for nonprofits. She works in nonprofit development and also owns and operates LEGIT yoga, where she provides trauma-responsive yoga to people at Boston-area homeless shelters, low-income housing communities, and alternative schools.
